Microsoft to address UN on digital terror
UN Security council has decided to conduct a debate on "digital terror". They have invited Microsoft to conduct the debate.
The ministerial debate is organized by Egypt, which holds this month's presidency of the 15 member council. This is the first time a technology company will address the security council. The security council has been increasingly concerned with the use of social media for spreading terrorism.
The experts of the security council had sent invitations to tech companies to devise methods to prevent such misuse. The panel had previously raised alarm over the growth of high definition digital terror.
